This blog covers a recent epoxy coating job done by SafeDry. We did the job over the holiday weekends. We used Crown polymer epoxy products. The floor was first shot blasted and cleaned.
Then we applied the primer coating. We did this before filling the joins, cracks and holes. We only coated the traffic areas, around 13,000sf. The primer coating was the quickest coating we installed. When finished it showed all the problem areas, as we had hoped for.
The primer went down in a few hours and was followed by a break between Christmas and New Years.
When the job resumed, we sanded the floor as it had time to cure past our window to re coat. Once we sanded the floor we cleaned it and started our pigmented coating. This coating was applied, like the primer, at ten mils. The pigmented epoxy coating went down over several hours. The Crown product left a very high shine on the floor.

After the floor was tack free we then began our polyurea top coat.
The polyurea top coat was installed at ten mils. We broadcast aluminum oxide into the floor as we coated. This step covered some of the shine, bu the floor still l
ooked great.
